Achieve Your Business Goals By Improving Your Willpower

Achieve Your Business Goals By Improving Your Willpower

The real estate business can be a very demanding and challenging venture, especially for those who want to stay competitive.

But many would surely ask what’s their secret to success and how they do it. Well, for sure many of them would say it’s through hard work and determination.

Yes, but how?

Here are several best practices by several industry leaders and movers that helped them take their real estate business to the next level.

Work smarter, not harder

You can spend 12 hours a day working hard and yes, it can help provide you with a good sense of fulfilment because you got things done.

But the meat of the matter is not just on the volume of things done, rather it is more about the quality of what you have achieved- quality over quantity.

Here’s an example.

A salesman called 100 people and gave himself only three minutes each to make his pitch so he can reach out to all 100 people, but did not make a single sale. A different salesman chose 10 people who messaged him through social media and took the time to understand their needs and preferences, which all resulted in sales from all 10.

So, who got the best results?

The same concept applies in real estate, where building lasting relationships with clients is as important as making a sale or buying property.

Get into the mindset that you can offer and do more than what is an acceptable standard and you can surely win the trust and confidence of your clients.

Plan and execute

Do not jump headfirst into the water unless you know it is safe to do so.

The same goes with what you have determined to achieve for the following day by planning and focus on what you can and need to do to get it done.

This is a willpower action and something that you can make the habit of doing. You can do this by laying out your activities for the following day and project how you plan to do them.

Take it a notch by factoring in your client or customer by putting yourself in their shoes. This is a good way for you to imagine what scenarios you can control and those that you cannot. This way you can think ahead and offer alternative options or solutions.

That way you can have an idea of how your transaction would go. It will increase your chances of achieving your goal for that client.

Manage your environment

Your environment plays a huge part in influencing your behaviours and attitudes toward getting things done or how you achieve your goals.

If you want to focus on commercial real estate and make your mark, it would be wise to attend fairs and exhibits that have everything to do with commercial real estate, construction fairs or exhibits, conferences, and more where you can meet potential clients, contacts, or service providers that can help you build your professional network.

Doing the work to promote yourself and be seen is as good as boosting your online presence.

Determine to surround yourself and strive to be competitive.

Focus on what works

You must leverage your strengths and let them inspire you to get things done and achieve your goals.

It is easier to get things done when you allow your strengths to help you do the work. Whenever you identify an opportunity, note it down and invest time later during the day to assess that delta and find options and solutions to get it resolved and eventually concert into a strength.

It is also worth mentioning that you need to measure everything that matters for your business such as touching base with your clients, evaluate your listings, planning your digital marketing campaigns, or streamlining your business processes to make your clients’ real estate journeys pleasurable and memorable.

Be willing to adapt to changes

There’s no perfect system and the same is true with everything that occurs in the real estate industry be it market forces, consumer behaviours, or economic impacts- anything that affects how you conduct your real estate business.

Be open to changes and be ready to accept anything that comes your way because it will help shape you to become stronger and more resilient in your business.

All these may be daunting and challenging at first, but when you start getting into the habit you can surely get things done automatically and satisfyingly.
